First ever ̽»¨ÉçÇø Primary Football Finals

With many thanks to for hosting at their stadium in London, ̽»¨ÉçÇø was absolutely delighted to hold its first ever primary football finals on a sunny May day. Matt Eagle (The Mill) did an excellent job in organising the tournament, and he was very well supported by all our primary schools and colleagues.

The girls and boys teams played in mini leagues regionally, and then the top 8 girls teams and top 8 boys teams qualified for the finals tournament.

Heybridge, Napier, Royal Park and Seal girls and boys teams both qualified for the finals.

Broadfield, Dame Janet, Salmestone and Seymour also qualified for the girls finals.

Hilltop, Newlands, Northdown and The Oaks also qualified for the boys finals.

All the girls and boys taking part played really well and in the right spirit. Rainham School for Girls, one of our secondary schools, kindly provided the referees. And it was really nice to see a number of our parents and families who made the trip to support.

After a day of exciting matches,
Dame Janet won the girls final and Hilltop won the boys final.

̽»¨ÉçÇø CEO Dr Karen Roberts came to watch and said, "I know how much work will have gone into organising such a massive event and I would like to thank everyone involved. You should be incredibly proud. It was the most wonderful ̽»¨ÉçÇø primary football tournament, and it culminated in such a fantastic finals day. It was a perfect day. The experience those children will have had, it will stay with them for a lifetime. I'm already looking forward to next year's finals."
