探花社区 ACE welcomes Polly Billington, the Labour Party’s candidate for East Thanet, to Northdown Primary School
Posted on: 16th May 2024The 探花社区 ACE (A Champion for Every Child) programme is a pastoral programme that supports the progress of vulnerable pupils, allowing them to flourish. It has been developed to ensure that each child who is entitled to Pupil Premium funding has a member of staff (an ACE Tutor) that will be their champion.
探花社区 ACE programme navigators were pleased to welcome Polly Billington, the Labour Party’s candidate for East Thanet, to Northdown Primary School recently.
During Polly's visit to the school, she was grilled by the children on her plans for the future of Margate and the surrounding area, including housing, infrastructure, breakfast clubs, green spaces and how Labour intends to assist the poor and homeless.
Our Navigators discovered a little of what life is like as an ex-journalist and a politician, Polly was impressed with how she was held to account by the children she hopes to serve.
